Not sure if your corks are ‘past it’? Corks generally come with a use-by date. This date refers to an approximate period that the surface treatment and moisture level will remain within specification.
Storage conditions and handling play a significant role in the longevity of this period. As a standard, Amorim Australasia recommends most cork closures are bottled within six months of surface treatment.
If your corks are past their use-by date by less than a year you can send them in to us for laboratory analysis. We will check the corks for moisture content and extraction performance, apply any necessary corrective production processes and return them to you – good as new.
